Vietnam: "Vietnam 1959 - 1975 (List Five Veterans) See What We Saw Feel What We Felt" This polished black granite memorial standing to the right of the World War II memorial was dedicated on Memorial Day May 27, 1996 honoring these fine young men who made the Supreme Sacrifice in Vietnam. The Western Mass Chapter III VIETNAM Veterans Of America donated the Flagpole. This well-planned, thoughtful and exquisite veterans' memorial is one of exceptional beauty. It is the ideal memorial signifying extraordinary historical importance to the Easthampton community that remembers its war heroes. This author recommends a visit to this memorial by future memorial committees of any community and all citizens of our great Commonwealth. |
